MK1 Studios was founded by Julie Ryan to collaborate with a team of creatives to develop exciting new-age concepts for film and TV from development through to completion.

Recent co-productions credits for film and television credits include Desperate Measures, which became the Number 1 most watched show in Ireland on Netflix at the start of March 2024, and the 2nd most watched show in the UK on Netflix; Maxine, which stayed in the top 3 most watched shows on Netflix in Ireland and the UK for over a month; Vardy V Rooney: A Courtroom Drama starring Michael Sheen, Chanel Cresswell and Natalia Tena for Channel 4; the romantic comedy Finding You which was released theatrically in the US and as a Sky Original in the UK starring Vanessa Redgrave, Rose Reid and Saoirse Monika Jackson; the Cineuropa award-winning Polish/Irish drama I Never Cry; Hulu holiday romance Christmas Perfection; and the Irish smash hit comedy The Young Offenders.
